Meet Coach Izzy
Head boxing coach and trainer at Izzy’s Boxing and Fitness and member of IOTA Phi Theta Fraternity Incorporated! As an Olympic amateur boxer and coach, Coach Izzy brings years of experience to the group. He is registered with the National Personal Training Institute (NPTI) as a certified personal trainer and kettlebell instructor. Coach Izzy was born in Newark, NJ, where he was able to learn survival skills early in his childhood while attending Newark Public Schools. Coach Izzy started his fitness and boxing journey in Middle School, where he was bullied and close to ending his own life. That moment changed his life forever as he was able to move on and eventually attend and graduate from Bloomfield College, where he received a Bachelor's degree in Sociology.
My life as a trainer/motivator began the moment I decided to change my present and future not only for myself but for future generations. Izzy’s Boxing and Fitness was established to help build a strong foundation in boxing fundamentals, technique, and overall health and fitness. Our life journey takes many unexpected turns and twists that we at times do not have control over. However, our health is that one factor we can control and take back.

Meet Coach Sam
"Born in South America, Guyana, Samuel Henry is a fitness enthusiast and designer in his trade. His affinity for fitness came at an early age as he grew up running track and playing soccer his entire middle school and high school years, captaining his team throughout each season until his short stint playing for a semi-pro team based in New Jersey. At the age of 23, he found himself in the gym and quickly saw himself advancing in the fitness realm, studying under NASM’s highly touted curriculum and various trainers. His specialties include fat burning, dieting, leaning out, and some bulking and weight gain techniques. He is a dedicated trainer and individual who takes his fitness work very seriously and is forever learning and furthering his knowledge in the health and fitness field.”
